Serving our parish and community is why we exist. That’s why you’ll often find Knights serving at mass, parish dinners, blood drives, the annual bazaar, as well as also hosting our own events. The Knights of Columbus Memorial Council 6527 contributes financial support to many organizations and seminarians. That’s just for starters.
Knights are deeply involved with various ministries in our parish and community. Taking care of those in need is deep in our organizational DNA. From our founding mission to service widows and orphans, to providing needed manpower and assistance in times of emergency, Knights represent the best our faith has to offer.
Our annual events support ministries in our parish and charities across our Catholic community. This is how we walk our talk of charity, unity, and fraternity. Together we do more than any one of us could do alone.
Our Beginnings
The Memorial Council No. 6527 was originally created in 1972 with members of three Parishes: St. Cecilia, St. Cyril, and St. John Vianney. Originally the Council met at St. Cyril’s before moving to St. John Vianney in 1974. Now, our council is made up of parishioners of St. John Vianney while the other founding parishes have formed Councils of their own.
