The Knights of Columbus are based on four pillar values:
Charity
Knights live our faith in action. Our Golf Tournament, Wine Auction, and Clay Shoot support ministries in our parish and Catholic charities in our community. Knights recognize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action. There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call we answer every day.
Unity
None of us is as good as all of us. Knights know that – together – we accomplish more than any one of us could accomplish on our own. So we stick together…we support one another. We believe in supporting and encouraging each other while we work together to make life better in our parish and community.
Fraternity
Venerable Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died. Our top-rated insurance program continues doing so today, as do the good works of Knights, who give more than 75 million service each year.
Patriotism
Members of the Knights of Columbus are patriotic citizens. We are proud of our devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both. Whether it’s in public or private, the Knights remind the world that Catholics support their nations and are amongst the greatest citizens.
Our history is one of service to all from the very beginning in a church basement in New Haven, Connecticut. Today, Knights continue building on the storied legacy of those men who came before us and look for those who will carry this order forward.
Is There A Knight In You?
Could you play a part in helping us bring our faith to life in our parish and community?
